UPDATED TIPS:

-Please read the manual before use.

-Before charging or use, please unscrew the battery compartment and REMOVE THE PLASTIC SAFETY SHIELD covering the battery. If the safety shield is not removed, the product will not operate correctly.

-Please CHARGE FULLY before use. If the battery is not charged when you receive it, or if the battery has run out of power from use, the CHARGING INDICATOR LIGHT MIGHT NOT COME ON RIGHT AWAY when you plug it in. Please be patient and leave the product plugged in. Once the battery is minimally charged, the charging indicator will light up.

-The visible electric spark might alternate from side to side if you push down on the stun activation button for short 1 second bursts several times in rapid succession. However, most of the time, THE VISIBLE ELECTRIC ARC WILL TEND TO STAY ON OR DOMINATE ONE SIDE as electricity is a finicky element and follows the path of least resistance. This resistance is based on micro-factors such as temperature, dust and moisture, which are difficult to control. The spark you see is the electricity grounding to the electrode if it is not touching another conductor. Rest assured, if you touch someone or something, both sides are electrified, and both sides will stun, even if the visible spark tends to stay and ground itself on one side.

-HOW DO I KNOW BOTH SIDES ARE WORKING, IF I DON’T SEE THE SPARK ON BOTH SIDES?

Touch each electrode to a metal surface and activate the stun button for a short second. (WARNING!! Do not touch the metal when you are doing this.) and you will hear and possibly see the electricity going into the metal surface.

-WHEN I CHARGE THE BATTERY FULLY AND I TURN THE UNIT ON AND ACTIVATE THE FLASHLIGHT IT IS NOT CYCLING THROUGH THE 3 MODES OR THE STUN IS NOT WORKING?

Sometimes the program needs to be reset. Turn the unit on by pressing on the ON/OFF click button on the bottom. Then activate the flashlight by pressing the flashlight activation button. Press down on the flashlight activation 3 times to see if the cycle has started. Then turn the flashlight off (NOT THE POWER CLICK BUTTON) by holding the flashlight activation button down for several seconds. The light will turn off. Repeat those steps a few times to see if the program has reset and the flashlight is cycling through its 3 modes. Then turn the unit OFF AND THEN ON AGAIN by pressing down on ON/OFF CLICK BUTTON, located at the bottom of the flashlight, twice. Press the flashlight activation button again and then again to see if its begins to cycle through the flashlight modes. If it does not. Turn the unit off and on again and repeat the prior steps again.

Do not disassemble or modify the product as this will void your warranty.
Do not store in direct sunlight, near hot objects, or in temperatures above 140 degrees F.
Do not install a battery with polarity reversed, otherwise the product will not work.
Installing ordinary 26350 Li-ion batteries or other 26350 will compromise some functions of the product.
The standby time for the Megastun Super Lightning is approximately 3 months.
Do not direct the beam into eyes as doing so can damage vision.
Be advised that direct contact with eyes, face and chest area over heart could cause serious injury. Risk is increased for people with
underlying health or drug use.

Fire a test charge for only a one (1) second duration. Repeated test firing can damage the unit. The product warranty does not cover damage

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
Battery Installation:
The product runs on a 26350 Rechargeable Battery. To install the battery, unscrew the battery compartment, which is the bottom portion of the product, by turning it counter clockwise. REMOVE THE PLASTIC SAFETY SHIELD COVERING THE BATTERY. Install the 26350 battery, positive side (+) pointing forward. Screw the battery cap back on.
On/Off Operation:
To turn on the Megastun Super Lightning, press the tail switch until a “click” is heard. The power indication LED is on.
To turn off the Megastun Super Lightning, press the tail switch again until a “click” is heard. The power indication LED is off.
Flashlight Operation:
With the product powered on, press the light button (the bottom button on the row of two round buttons) to turn on light mode. PLEASE NOTE: when you activate the flashlight, the power indication LEDs will switch off. This does not mean you don’t have battery power. It indicates that your product is now actively being used.
Three light modes can be toggled by pushing the flashlight button: high/low/strobe. To turn off the light, hold down the light button by keeping pressure on it for a couple of seconds. Note: This will power down the product, it will just turn the light off and your power indicator LEDs will light up again to show you your battery strength. To turn the product power off please see above ON/OFF.
Stun Operation:
With the product powered on, and with the flashlight pointed away from your body, press the stun button (the top button on the row of two round buttons) to activate the stun. You will see and hear the electric spark and the flashlight will automatically turn on. NOTE: when you activate the stun, the power indication LEDs will switch off. This does not mean you don’t have battery power. It indicates that your product is now actively being used.
Please only test the unit for one second at a time as you can damage the product from overuse and you want to save your longer bursts for self-defense from an attack.
The spark can alternate from side to side but it will tend to dominate one side as electricity is a finicky thing and it goes to the path of least resistance. This is based on micro-factors such as dust and moisture. The spark you see is the electricity grounding to the electrode if it is not touching another conductor. Rest assured if you touch someone or something both sides are electrified.
Stun mode will be unavailable when power is extremely low.
Stun Effects:
A short stun, approximately 2 seconds, will cause minor muscle contraction and numbness. This will startle an attacker. Also, the sound of the electric arc, from a short blast, may be enough to deter an attacker.
A moderate stun, approximately 2 to 4 seconds, can cause an attacker to fall. It may cause temporary confusion, but the attacker may be able to regain focus and get up quickly.
A long stun, 5 seconds or more, can immobilize an attacker. This will cause muscle contraction, weakness, and disorientation that will last longer.
Stun Location:
Electrical stuns can be applied anywhere on the body of an attacker. For maximum effect, places like the neck, chest and groin should be targeted.
Power Tips:
Upon battery installation, the four green power LED lights will illuminate to indicate power levels near or at 100%;
Three green LED lights illuminated indicates power levels above 75%;
Two green LED lights illuminated indicates power levels above 50%;
One green LED light illuminated indicates power level above 25%.
Charging:
Make sure Megastun Super Lightning is turned off.
If the electric arc is weak or the light is dim, recharge the flashlight immediately.
When charging, stun mode will be unavailable.
To recharge the unit, plug the Micro-USB charger into the charging port of the flashlight and then plug the USB into a USB charging port.
Four green power LED lights will indicate the battery volume.

WHEN TO USE YOUR MEGASTUN SUPER LIGHTNING STUN FLASHLIGHT:
Be prepared. Have the Stun Flashlight in your hand when you are walking alone or in a precarious place. Be prepared, be aware and be ready to protect yourself when you are walking alone, entering/exiting buildings, hallways, elevators, parking lots etc..

It is the responsibility of the buyer, NOT the seller, to obey all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws, in regards to the possession and use of the item, BEFORE purchasing. No sales to minors. By purchasing this product, the buyer represents that the product will be used in only a lawful manner and that he/she is 18 years of age or older.

TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS:

-ON/OFF SWITCH DOESN’T WORK OR ONLY THE LIGHT TURNS ON:
Please remember to remove the plastic battery safety shield by unscrewing the battery compartment and removing the plastic safety shield. Once this is removed screw the battery compartment back on and see if your issue has been resolved.

-IT ONLY SPARKS ON ONE SIDE:
FIRST, PLEASE CHARGE THE UNIT FULLY. Next test the unit by tapping on the stun activation button, for a short 1 second burst, several times in rapid succession. Please understand the spark might alternate from side to side, at times, however, it will tend to dominate one side as electricity is a finicky thing and it follows the path of least resistance. This resistance is based on environmental micro-factors such as temperature dust and moisture, which are difficult to control. The spark you see is the electricity grounding to the electrode if it is not touching another conductor. Rest assured if you touch someone or something both sides are electrified, and both sides will stun, even if you only see the visible spark tending to stay on one pair of electrodes.

–HOW DO I KNOW BOTH SIDES ARE ELECTRIFIED IF I ONLY SEE THE SPARK ON ONE SIDE? Place each pair of electrodes against a metal surface and activate the stun button for a short second. (WARNING!! Do not touch the metal when you are doing this.) You will hear and possible see the electricity going into the metal surface.

–WHEN I ACTIVATE THE FLASHLIGHT OR THE STUN MODE THE BATTERY LIGHTS GO DIM. DOES THIS MEAN MY BATTERY IS DEAD?

No. When you activate the flashlight or the stun the battery lights will go dim to indicate your are actively using the product. If you want to see the battery level, switch off the flashlight by holding down the flashlight activation button for a couple of seconds. The flashlight will go off and the battery lights will light up. Or you can turn the unit OFF/ON by pressing on the ON/OFF click button at the bottom of the unit. When you turn the unit back on you will see your battery indicator lights on.

–MY BATTERY DIED AND NOW THE FLASHLIGHT WON’T CHARGE WHEN I PLUG IT IN?

Be patient. Keep the unit plugged in. When the battery has been exhausted it will take several minutes for the charging light to start blinking again. Once the battery is minimally charged, the green charging light will start blinking again and you will know the unit is being recharged.
